The Vibriou=s Isolated from Saltwater Fish Aquaria of Raw Slice Markets in Winter Hun-Ku Lee

Abstract
This study was purposed to investigate the vibrio microflora in the seawater of saltfish aquaria of raw sliced-fish markets in winter in Pusan Korea.
The aquaria in which the fish are alive in living state can be polluted by hallophilic vibrios or any other pathogenic bacteria through density culture of the unhygenic environment around fish markets.
When we eat raw sliced-fish which is prepared under exposure of pathogenic bacteria, we can suffer from food-poisoning or other health problems.
In this study, five species of vibrios (V. splendidus, V. aestuarianus, V. campbellii, V. tubiashii, and V. alginolyticus) were isolated and V. splendidus was dominant. Two species (V. alginolyticus, and V. campbellii) were resistant to more than
four
kinds of antibiotics (penicillin ampicillin, cefalothin, kanamycin, and chloramphenicol) simultaneously, but the author could not perform the antibiotics susceptibility tests for the other three vibrios because they did not grow on the
Muller-Hinton
Agar plate which is the basic medium for the testing of antibiotics susceptibility.
